    • Coors Field is one of the great venues in MLB. Home of the Colorado Rockies, Coors Field was built with the fan in mind. The design reminds you of baseball fields of old, with brickwork and black iron accents. The stadium offers the usual fan fare (dining, shopping, etc.), but also hosts a micro brewery on the main level. Combine that with a breathtaking view of the Rocky Mountains, and you will experience "Baseball with an Altitude", Denver style. The Rockies offer a section for the fan on a budget. Known as the Rockpile, these center field seats are cheap ($5) and give you a great view of the entire stadium. Rockpile seats are non reserved, and only available for purchase on the day of the game from the ticket window. (Warning, fans have been known to line up for hours prior to the first pitch when the Rockies are doing well (or for the rare NY Yankees, Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs series). Coors field is situated just north of Downtown Denver, and within walking distance to Denver's LoDo (Lower Downtown) shopping/dining district. If you are coming to Denver for a game, you can find more affordable accommodations away from downtown (Englewood and Centennial come to mind). The Department of Public Transit offers light rail and bus service to and from Coors field, so you can access the stadium affordably from virtually anywhere in the Denver metro area. Parking at the stadium is not very centralized, and can range anywhere from $10 to $50. When in Denver, you can purchase tickets at any King Soopers grocery store (which my family and I usually do for about $60, for a family of 4). As with any pro sports venue, the concessions are way too pricey, but the selection is great (with an excellent selection of microbrews for the beer drinker...and, of course, plenty of Coors products). Coors field does allow you to bring in your own snacks, etc. (although, I think they prohibit coolers).
