    History

One of the mega structures, privately built and owned at a cost of $325 million by the Kraft Sports Group is the Gillette Stadium. A crowd of 68,756 can easily sit and cheer in the stadium when they see the score on the 41.5*164 feet video monitor. Everything about this stadium is impressive and it has some of the largest luxury suites in the NFL and one can host anything from a social event to a corporate meeting here at the stadium. The design is unique with a grand entrance having a lighthouse and bridge as insisted by Kraft and which can be seen in the logo of the stadium. Kraft chose the design after refusing 200 designs by HOK Sport, the company that designed the stadium in the year 2000. The stadium was officially opened in the year 2002 with a real blast of a New England Revolution soccer match.
