Walter A. Haas Pavilion is also known as the Haas Pavilion and is home to the University of California's Golden Bears. The facility hosts women's basketball and volleyball as well as both men and women gymnastics. The stadium opened in 1933 with initial construction costs of $727,500. The stadium opened with a seating capacity of 7,200 but with renovations and expansion the stadium now holds 11,877. The stadium was renovated in 1999 with construction costs of $13.1 million. Renovations included an increase in restrooms and concessions as well as two HD video displays. The stadium also added many tv screens throughout the facility and renovated the locker rooms. The stadium was named after Walter A. Haas Jr. who was a California Alumni and donated a large amount towards the stadium.
