    • It's always a treat when I go to the Xcel Energy Center to see the NHL’s Minnesota Wild. I've had seats up on the glass, on the lower level, club level, and the upper deck. I can honestly say they all offer greats views of the ice. The arena configuration reminds me of a theater, where the upper deck and club level hover above the lower deck, promising equal distance seating from the ice. As far as food and drinks, it's exactly what you would expect- beer is overpriced, but at least you are rewarded with a large cup with the Wild logo that you can bring home. I've collected so many that my entire glass collection consists of Wild cups! Food is expensive as well, so I would suggest getting to the arena early and exploring downtown St. Paul. There are some great spots to eat where you can get much better food for the same price. In conclusion, the Xcel Energy Center is a wonderful venue to watch hockey and concerts. Please visit if you are ever in the Twin Cities! Mike in Minneapolis
